Darcy J. Daoust

Darcy’s areas of practice include labour law, employment law, human rights, criminal and quasi-criminal law & civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Darcy was engaged in a litigation practice focused in the areas of criminal and quasi-criminal law.

Darcy is an experienced courtroom lawyer who brings his experience in litigation and negotiation to the firm. He has experience in the representation of people before the Provincial and Superior Courts of Justice, as well as assisting individuals suffering from mental health issues before various tribunals and boards.

Darcy has been a guest speaker in the law department at Carleton University and has been the author and/or co-author of academic papers for various conferences including:

  • Sentencing Trends and Interesting Cases 2005-2006, Criminal Law Conference, 2006.
  • To Denounce & Deter a Paper on Domestic Sentencing, Criminal Law Conference, 2008.
  • An Update on Just Cause, Six-Minute Employment Lawyer series, 2008.

Darcy was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 2006, after receiving his LL.B (2005) from the University of Ottawa, and Honour’s B.A (2002) from Carleton University.

An avid sports enthusiast, Darcy remains active within the sports community playing both indoor and outdoor volleyball, softball, golf and recreational hockey.
